7 Worlds Collide

I've posted the latest new review on the site, of a concert on 11 August 2009 at Dingwalls in Camden featuring Neil Finn and members of Radiohead and Wilco, part of the 7 Worlds Collide line up. They were previewing songs from their forthcoming album, released on 31 August, proceeds from which go to Oxfam, so be sure to get a copy.

If anyone was at that gig, or perhaps wishes they were, feel free to leave a comment.....

  1. Lovely review, Tia. It almost felt like I was there. Nice pictures too. I never knew Ed O'Brien was such a hottie.

One of your comments though - about the suit George Harrison lost for plagiarism - I think it was because "My Sweet Lord" sounded too much like "He's So Fine".

Thanks again for the time you spent on this.

  3. Danyier, thanks so much for your comments. You're absolutely right that I meant to write 'He's So Fine'; that's what comes of working on these things in the wee hours when I'm half asleep. I probably dreamily typed what I was humming, by accident. I did include the correct song in the Spotify playlist but I've just visited that and see that most of the songs I chose and their arranged order have gone astray; oh well. Thanks for catching that big error though; I've fixed that though I'm sure there are many more to be found.

And Jane Siberry....yes, I saw her in 2001 or so at the South Bank and she was amazing, certainly a unique talent! If you're interested, I wrote up my views on that concert as well on my site: http://www.aboutlastnight.org.uk/BooQEHS01.htm

    Thanks again.
