7 Worlds Collide

I've posted the latest new review on the site, of a concert on 11 August 2009 at Dingwalls in Camden featuring Neil Finn and members of Radiohead and Wilco, part of the 7 Worlds Collide line up. They were previewing songs from their forthcoming album, released on 31 August, proceeds from which go to Oxfam, so be sure to get a copy.

If anyone was at that gig, or perhaps wishes they were, feel free to leave a comment.....

  1. Lovely review, Tia. It almost felt like I was there. Nice pictures too. I never knew Ed O'Brien was such a hottie.

One of your comments though - about the suit George Harrison lost for plagiarism - I think it was because "My Sweet Lord" sounded too much like "He's So Fine".

Thanks again for the time you spent on this.

  2. Oh and "squeeeeeee!" I see Jane Siberry is on your list of favourite artists! I love her too.

  3. Danyier, thanks so much for your comments. You're absolutely right that I meant to write 'He's So Fine'; that's what comes of working on these things in the wee hours when I'm half asleep. I probably dreamily typed what I was humming, by accident. I did include the correct song in the Spotify playlist but I've just visited that and see that most of the songs I chose and their arranged order have gone astray; oh well. Thanks for catching that big error though; I've fixed that though I'm sure there are many more to be found.

And Jane Siberry....yes, I saw her in 2001 or so at the South Bank and she was amazing, certainly a unique talent! If you're interested, I wrote up my views on that concert as well on my site:

    Thanks again.

Thank you for your comments! They will appear after a short delay....
